Job Description / Responsibilities:
1. PURPOSE
Provide effective and efficient support of Training Development Directorate of the RPNGC National Center of Excellence. The position is responsible to assist in office interior or exterior for better outlook daily for the Training Development Section.
2. DIMENSIONS
Financial: Nil
Staff: Nil
Others: Directly responsible to the position of the Sergeant Administration Officer for the effective management of all administration activities, within the Training Development Directorate.
3. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for the effective and efficient care and management of the office to ensure all assistants support are provided for the purpose of effective attention of the office.
- Ensure to provide clean and healthy office environment as conductive every day as part of Occupational Health Safety.
4. MAJOR DUTIES
- Ensure to keep the office environment within and outside pollution free.
- Ensure to deter waste pollution in the office by disposal of waste papers, emptying of unused office materials in the appropriate locations.
- Provide safety measures by lookout for visitors during the absence of the Staff of the Directorate when they are on engagement of other official duties.
- Ensure to be promptly and attentive to provide effective services as office assistance as possible without much supervision.
- Strictly bear to the highest level of confidentially of office management.
5. NATURE AND SCOPE
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the office of the Training Directorate Branch.

5.1 WORKING RELATIONSHIP
(a) Internal
- Report to the Director Training Development Branch through the staff for the purpose to maintain work effectiveness.
(b) External
5.2 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires an excellent public relation and excellent personalities and customer service-oriented personality.
6. CONSTRAINTS FRAMEWORK AND BOUNDARIES
This position is guided by the Governments Rules and Procedures in all its activities
6.1 Rules/procedures
- The Police Act; the Constabulary Standing Orders; the Public Service (Management) Act; the Public Finance (Management) Act; and PNG Government General Orders (2012), Public Service Code of Conduct and Ethics. Labour and Employment Act, Royal PNG Constabulary Corporate Plan.
6.2 Decisions
- The job holder has no authority to make decisions without consulting the Director Regional & Provincial Training.
6.3 Recommendations
- The job holder is to provide recommendations to the Director Regional & Provincial on all office Matters.

8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
(a) Qualifications
- Possess an appropriate experience in Customer Service or completion of Grade 10 with exceptional results.
(b) Knowledge
- Good knowledge of Training Institutions operations.
- Acceptable knowledge of the issues affecting the management of a high-quality Training Institution of an Excellence nature.
- Excellent knowledge about rules and regulations in the Police Finance Management Act and Regulations, the PNG Constitution.
(c) Skills
- Excellent work ethics
- Acceptable level of verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationship with internal and external clients involve in training.
(d) Work Experience
- At least five (5) years or more work experience in Institution within the public or private sector context.
