Supports and maintain physical changes to computer databases; and codes, tests, and implements physical database by performing the following duties.
Implement database system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions.
Provides detailed personal advice and guidance to all users in the effective use of Systems, products and services available to them; demonstrates ingenuity in applying knowledge to non-standard situations.

4. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure all computerizes applications, programs and database systems have accurate data for decision making.
Immediate accountable to Senior Database Administration, Database Administration and subsequently Executive manager, Management Information Services Division.
Effective managing Online Database Systems within DPM.
5. MAJOR DUTIES
Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise.
Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
Suggesting changes and improvements for maintenance or protection.
Regularly liaising with IT project managers and database programmers.
Designing databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.

(a) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
Diploma in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution

Software Design, Software Documentation,
Software Testing, Software Maintenance,
Software Development Process, Software Requirements,
General Consulting Skills, Software Architecture
Database Management and Data Maintenance
Programming language; Oracle, SQL, PHP, Java, C, C++, C#, etc. (at least 3 programming language must be able to write and read.)
