2. PURPOSE

To assist with the negotiations and arrangements with agencies in research, data collection and analysis for report writing, ministerial briefs, ministerial statements, NEC Information papers, media publications and the state of the service report.

3. DIMENSIONS

4. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure that assistance is provided to the Senior State of the Service Reporting Officer in negotiations, data collection, data entry, analysis and report writing.

5. MAJOR DUTIES

  • Liaise with Government agencies for information gathering
  • Conduct surveys, drafting of questionnaires, distribution, collection, data entry, analysis and report writing.
  • Undertake vetting of surveys for other divisions and branch.
  • Attend parliament sessions and other important events sanctioned by the department for information gathering with report submitted to the secretary
  • Research, information gathering and analysis from Annual Management Reports, Management Action Plans, Monitoring & Compliance Reports, Alesco data and other useful information sources
  • Maintain filling system for the branch
  • Take follow up actions of the branch to ensure that directives are adhered to as per the work plans
  • Provide administrative services to the branch

(a) QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably a university degree in the field of Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Human Resources or related field acceptable by the departmental head.
