Designation : E.O EXAMINATION OFFICER - BUSINESS STUDIES & TIA (Code- EDU23-01070)
1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Assist to develop (Business Studies) items for grade 10 Examinations in consultation with relevant curriculum officers and examinations officers.
1.2 Produce suitable (Business Studies) item banks and distribute to schools for grade 10 internal assessments.
1.3 Assist the Senior Examinations Officer for Grade 10 in the dissemination of information regarding classroom test construction and use of various forms of assessment.
1.4 Assist to produce Assessment materials and validate teacher-made tests suitable for use in schools.
1.5 Liaise with Inspectors and Curriculum Development officers on matters relating to test development and subject expertise in (Business Studies) as a Nationally Examined or moderated subject.
1.6 Responsible for the development of Examination, Assessment, Moderation and to assist CSMT in the subject of (Business Studies) and the Early Grade (Business Studies) Assessment.
1.7 Responsible and committed team player in meeting annual activity plan of the examination cycle.
1.8 Assist in any other tasks pertaining to examinations as seen by the Senior Examinations Officer for Grade 10.
1.9 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
2.1 Qualification
2.1.1 Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
2.1.2 Post-Graduate qualification in Education or relevant is preferable.
2.2 Knowledge
2.2.1 Knowledgeable in word and excel applications.
2.2.2 Knowledgeable about the assessment and examination system and future directions relating to assessment in general.
2.3 Work Experience
2.3.1 Extensive work experience in the Department of Education
2.3.2 5 years of Secondary (Business Studies) teaching experience up to Grade 10 level.
2.3.3 Overall coordination of activities relating to test development.
2.4 Skills
2.4.1 Financial management skills
2.4.2 Research and analytical skills
2.4.3 Interpersonal skills
2.4.4 Communication skills, both written and oral.
