1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 To direct and provide effective leadership and management for the development and production of Grades 8, 10, 12, FODE, GES, TRPD and VET certifications and ensure timely printing and dispatch of Certificates to all stakeholders.
1.2 To guide and provide effective leadership and administration for the development(designing & Redesigning process) and implementation (use of Designing Applications) for Grades 8, 10, 12, FODE, GES, TRPD, VET and other Department of Education (DOE) certifications.
1.3 Ensure Grades 8, 10, 12, FODE, GES, TRPD and VET Certificates, and Certification Reports are produced and distributed on time to all stakeholders.
1.4 Oversee the issue of statement of results to replace lost certificates, and to provide a service to employers for the verification of grade 10 and 12 results.
1.5 Assist to mentor, coach and encourage section staff to achieve excellence in their work area, and authorize training for the officers.
1.6 Perform any other duties as directed by the Assistant Secretary Certifications and Data Management.
1.7 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
2.1.1 Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Visual Arts/Graphics Design.
2.1.2 Post-Graduate qualification in Education or relevant is preferable.
2.2.1 Knowledgeable in the Department of Education System Schools/Institutional programs/curriculum such as Grades 8, 10, 12, FODE, GES, TRPD, VET and future directions relating to programs/curriculum and Certification in general.
2.2.2 Knowledgeable in Designing Applications such as ADOBE Photoshop and other relevant design applications.
2.2.3 Knowledgeable in development process and procedures of certificates for the Department of Education in Papua New Guinea.
2.3.1 Proven administration and planning ability of a high order.
2.3.2 Personal qualities of leadership and initiative.
2.3.3 High communication and public relation skills.
2.3.4 Good review and reporting skills.
2.3.5 Computer literate in Microsoft Office and ADOBE Photoshop
2.3.6 Statistical and Analytical skills
2.3.7 Graphics Designing
2.4 Work Experience
2.4.1 Extensive work experience in the Department of Education
2.4.2 Minimum of 5 years in Secondary Teaching experience
2.4.3 Minimum of 3 years in Industry relating to Visual Arts/Graphics Designing.
