Designation : ASSISTANT SECRETARY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION (Code- EDU23-00154)
1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Ensure and maintain accurate records of elementary schools’ establishment, staff and enrolment statistics and ECE Teachers professional files.
1.2 Coordinate and implement decisions directed by the FAS on matters appertaining to eligibility, central sorting, promotion and appeals based on TSC guidelines or policies.
1.3 Ensuring desired work outcome are achieved with routine especially processing of declaration of Eligibility for promotions the processing of school fees subsidy and processing to tenure appointments to promotional positions in school institutions.
1.4 Liaise with provinces and TSC on matters appertaining to school establishments with regard to creation / abolishing / upgrading of member schools.
1.5 Assist with the work on central Sorting and School Registration
1.6 Effectively Coordinate and implement NDoE objects and policies on Early Childhood Education.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
2.1.1 Bachelor’s Degree in Education studies or relevant equivalent tertiary qualifications.
2.2 Work Experience
2.2.1 5-8 years in performing senior teachers’ role, has demonstrated administrative and management work experiences and other appropriate education related work experiences as many be acceptable to Public Service Commission.
2.3.1 Sound knowledge of Teaching Services and Education Acts, education system, policies and procedures
2.4.1 Proven administrative and supervisory skills
2.4.2 Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, evaluate, monitor and ensure direct high quality of work outcome
2.4.3 Ability to analyze, solve and make appropriate decisions on any issues as they emerge.
2.4.4 Excellent communication, both in oral and written.
2.4.5 Computer Literate
2.4.6 Ability to listen with sympathy and apathy.
