Designation : ASSISTANT SECRETARY - PRIMARY EDUCATION MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION (Code- EDU23-00158)
1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Manages the efficient day to day administration and assist with the efficient formulation of the policies of the Member Schools and Permitted Schools.
1.2 Implement NEP and UBE policy(s) to achieve Education for all Goals (EFO).
1.3 Liaise constantly with Provincial Authorities, Permitted Schools, and other appropriate Government and interested Agencies on matters on school establishment.
1.4 Maintain and update accurate and timely relevant raw or baseline data on all registered schools both system and Permitted Schools data.
1.5 Provide advice and supervise in receipt of school registration applications and process application for school registration committee and IMG for deliberation.
1.6 Prepare and compile monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports, briefs and other related documentation, as may be required for the Department.
1.7 Conduct school audit in Provinces by ensuring the school establishment is consistent with National Records.
1.8 Assist with Master Position Register updates in the Province.
1.9 Carry out other duties as directed, consistent with above.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
2.1.1 Bachelor of Education Degree or other relevant tertiary qualification.
2.1.2 Post Graduate studies in Education at Masters level are preferable.
2.2 Work Experience
2.2.1 5-10 years proven teaching experience in a supervisory level with experience in administration.
2.3.1 Sound knowledge of Teaching Services and Education Acts, education system, policies and procedures
