1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1 Ensure quarterly returns are promptly sent to the provinces for distribution to schools for teachers to complete on time and submit.
1.2 Liaise with PDoE for the quarterly returns from schools and assess and compile the information on the quarterly returns for decision making purposes.
1.3 Ensure all teachers professional files are up to date by receiving correspondence from teachers and are promptly filed in the professional files.
1.4 Assist the supervisor on any project implementation activities to ensure secondary schools’ projects are successfully completed.
1.5 Assist in the central sorting activities to ensure the appointment of teachers to vacant positions are completed on time.
1.6 Take initiative and provide relief assistance to work area to ensure the unit continuous to deliver services to clients.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
2.1 Qualifications:
2.1.1 Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education
2.2 Experience:
2.2.1 Five (5) or more years of Secondary School teaching experience further experience in Education administration is preferable.
2.3 Knowledge:
2.3.1 Understanding of the factors influencing the management and performance of schools and student.
2.3.2 Knowledge of the Operational of Education operations and the needs of NSoE.
2.3.3 Sound understanding of Government priorities for NSoE.
2.3.4 Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of effective supervision and monitoring.
2.3.5 Sound knowledge of report writing and write up of project proposals.
2.3.6 Sound knowledge of past and current Education System and Reform.
2.3.7 Understanding of Education Act and TSC Act.
2.4 Skills:
2.4.1 Ability to achieve results.
2.4.2 Provide effective supervision, project planning and management skills.
2.4.3 Able to evaluate, monitor and ensure consistent high quality of work outcomes.
2.4.4 Efficient with report writing and budgetary skills.
