1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1 Ensure the office is clean at all times by providing cleaning services in empting trash bins, cleaning office floor, office equipment/furniture, cleaning of cups, and making of tea/coffee for officers.
1.2 Carry out daily client service duties and refer the queries to officers concerned within the division
1.3 Contribute to ensure mails and correspondences are received promptly by collecting mails/correspondence and distribute to officers, and personally deliver correspondence to offices as requested by the officers of the unit.
1.4 Contribute to the efficient operation of the office by assisting in phototyping, faxing, filing and completion of requisition forms.
1.5 Ensure cleaning equipment/tools are readily available for use each day by properly keeping them in a secure place.
1.6 Ensure the cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals are safe to use by providing sound advice on the condition/status of the equipment’s and chemicals.
1.7 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
2.1.1 Grade twelve (12) qualification.
2.1.2 Certificate in basic office administration studies.
2.2.1 Less than three (3) years’ experience in office cleaning.
2.2.2 Must have some experience in general duties i.e. mailing, filing, photocopying and other duties.
2.3.1 Knowledge of office procedures
2.3.2 Knowledge of safety rules
2.3.3 Knowledge of hygiene
2.3.4 Knowledge of cleaning chemicals usage
2.4.1 Good cleaning skills
2.4.2 Ability to fix cleaning equipments/tools.
2.4.3 Ability to provide courteous client service.
2.4.4 Sound oral communication skills.
