1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1 Manage effectively the processes and procedures of Teacher Provisional Registration, Full Registration, Renewal and De-registration for all primary school teachers throughout PNG.
1.2 Prepare and present data on primary school teacher’s registration and de-registration to Assistant Secretary – Teacher Registrations and the Planning Committee for National Education Board (NEB) regarding supply and demand of teachers in PNG.
1.3 Monitor number of new graduates (NG) entering the Primary Education System and issue Provisional Registration Certificates
1.4 In consultation with the Senior Teacher Registration Officer take lead in preparing documents for issuing of file numbers to new graduates in the national school system to ensure that salaries are precede on time.
1.5 Issue and maintain records of “Full Registration” certificates for Primary Schools Teachers.
1.6 Review and implement the policies on Teacher Registration.
1.7 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
2.1.1 Bachelor's Degree in Education.
2.2.1 1-3 years of teacher registration experience
2.2.2 Proven experience in similar or allied work.
2.3.1 Conversant with budget teacher registration and de-registration
2.3.2 Conversant in Teacher Education activities.
2.3.3 Thorough knowledge of TSC and DOE Acts
2.4.1 Budget preparation, monitoring and review skills.
2.4.2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2.4.3 Computer literate in MS word and Excel
2.4.4 Excellent inter-personal skills
2.4.5 Must have a good numeracy skill
