Designation : SNR. TV PRODUCER (Code- EDU23-00248)

Job Description / Responsibilities:


1.1. Supervise the implementation and coordination of all Education Media Production plans and activities in consultation with NEMC Executive Producer for endorsement and approval.

1.2. Assist in the development of short, mid and long-term operation plan of the Education Media Production.

1.3. consultation with subordinates prepare and submit Education Media Production section activity report to the NEMC Executive Producer

1.4. Manage and supervise the daily Education Media Production section operation and staff management.

1.5. In consultation with subordinates, recommend plans on capacity development for individual staff and coordinate and conduct in house training.

1.6. Manage and supervise archiving of raw footages, sound bank, master programs and resource materials.

1.7. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.


2.1. Qualification:

2.1.1. Degree in Education media and ICT

2.1.2. Relevant Postgraduate qualification in related field is preferable.


2.2.1. Knowledge in production of TV and Multimedia programs

2.2.2. Knowledge in educational media and ICT.

2.2.3. Knowledge in Production Management. 

2.2.4. Knowledgeable about the education system and curriculum policies, its functions.

2.2.5. Knowledge in NEMP Strategic Plan, ICT and other DoE Policies

2.2.6. Have an in-depth knowledge of the public service management act, public service general orders and public finance management act.

2.3. Skills:

2.3.1. Design and Produce TV and Multimedia programs

2.3.2. Direct TV and Multimedia programs

2.3.3. Basic operation of all TV and Multimedia production equipment

2.3.4. Programming of Educational Broadcast programs

2.3.5. Ability to manage TV and Radio Broadcasting and Production system. 

2.3.6. Leadership skills

2.3.7. Communication skills, both oral and written.

2.3.8. Computer literate.

2.4. Work Experience:

2.4.1. Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in Senior Management role.
