1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1. In close consultation with the Senior Technicians;
1.1.1. Assist the Senior Technicians create and maintain an effective equipment management and inventory control of all television and radio equipment.
1.1.2. Carryout periodic inspection of all equipment and systems in the Media Centre to ensure the equipment are in working condition.
1.2. Carryout any other tasks as directed by the Senior Technician or the Coordinator Television.
1.3. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2.1. Qualification:
2.1.1. Diploma or Degree in electronic engineering specializing in radio and television engineering or relevant IT profession.
2.2. Knowledge:
2.2.1. Sound technical knowledge and understanding of television and radio production systems.
2.2.2. Knowledge about the electronic system and its functions.
2.2.3. Knowledge about the education system and its functions, policies and mission.
2.2.4. Have an in-depth knowledge of the Public Service Management Act, Public Service General Orders. Public Finance Management Acts and National Education Plan (NEP) 2022- 2029.
2.2.5. Knowledge in production of TV, Radio and Multimedia programs.
2.3. Skills:
2.3.1. Ability to diagnose faults in professional radio and television equipment
2.3.2. Service and repair professional radio and television equipment and their installations
2.3.3. Personal qualities of leadership skills.
2.3.4. Communication skills, both oral and written.
2.3.5. Public Relations skills.
2.3.6. Computer literate.
2.4. Work Experience:
2.4.1. Must have at 5-6 years of similar experience with the department or other radio and television engineering establishment.
