1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1. In close consultation with the PCO Media supervise and guide TV and Radio Technicians in the effective operations of equipment for quality television and radio production through the following activities:
1.1.1. Create and maintain an effective equipment management and inventory control of all television and radio equipment.
1.1.2. Carryout periodic inspection of all equipment and systems in the Media Centre to ensure the equipment are in working condition
1.1.3. Plan annual specialist service and maintenance schedule in consultation with production schedules to avoid production delays.
1.2.Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2.1. Qualification:
2.1.1. Diploma or Degree in electronic engineering specializing in radio and television production or other relevant IT profession.
2.2. Knowledge:
2.2.1. Broad technical knowledge and understanding of television and radio production systems
2.2.2. Have knowledge of the Public Service Management Act, Public Service General Orders. Public Finance Management Acts and National Education Plan (NEP) 2022-2029.
2.3. Skills:
2.3.1. Design and Produce Radio and Multimedia programs
2.3.2. Possess quality assurance process and system
2.3.3. Basic operation of all Radio and Multimedia production equipment
2.3.4. Programming of Educational Broadcast programs
2.3.5. Ability to manage Radio and Radio Broadcasting and Production system.
2.3.6. Leadership skill
2.3.7. Communication skills, both oral and written
2.3.8. Report Writing skill
2.3.9. Computer literate.
2.4. Work Experience:
2.4.1. Minimum 8-10 years of similar experience with the department or other radio and television engineering establishment.
