1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1. Responsible for the Information and Communication Technology in the areas of end user support by implementing plans, providing advice for front end infrastructure and services.
1.2. Assist branch head to develop and implement change management resources to support end users and front end devices and software associated with hardware infrastructure and the organization services.
1.3. Ensuring the efficient operations of the ICT front end infrastructure.
1.4. Provide technical advice on software, hardware, and other application-related issues concerning front end devices or other ICT-related issues.
1.5. Manage and work with ICT support services technical officers for the support and development arrangements on all technology components of hardware and software of front end resources and other IT infrastructure.
1.6. Ensure ICT services requests are properly prioritized, completed satisfactorily on time and must be directed towards meeting a strategic initiative.
1.7. Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet requirements more efficiently and/or with greater reusability.
1.8. Carry out other duties consistent with the above.

2. QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
2.1. Qualification:
2.1.1. Grade 12 level of Education.
2.1.2. Bachelor Degree in Information Communication & Technology, Computer Engineering, or any IT-related field or demonstrated skills in the relevant area.
2.1.3. Industry certifications in Help desk systems and management, server and networking, and security.
2.1.4. Relevant qualification in CompTIA, ITIL, Exchange server, MS Exchange 2016 or higher, MS Office 2016 or higher.
2.1.5. It is desirable to be a member of a recognized Information Technology body, which may be acceptable to the Public Service.
2.2. Knowledge:
2.2.1. Ability to research solutions and document procedures.
2.2.2. Have up-to-date knowledge of Information and Communication Technology standards and practices relevant for this position.
2.2.3. Ability to plan, manage, and support Information and Communication Technology relevant to the section for a large organization on the front end infrastructure for end users.
2.3. Skills:
2.3.1. Must have good written and communication skills and have the ability to plan, organize, and work with minimum supervision.
2.3.2. Design, build, and implement front end infrastructure or upgrade existing infrastructure and service with specifications to front-end best practice in today's PNG emerging society with respect to global working environment expectations.
2.3.3. Be able to lead a team and be a team leader to engage innovation to enhance education service delivery using ICT.
2.4. Experience:
2.4.1. A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
2.4.2. Must have experience in all elements of Information Technology (computers and communications technologies and databases) or shows advanced tertiary qualification.
2.4.3. Has shown exposure to managing Server, Storage, VMwares, MS Exchange 2016 or higher, and redundancy technology as well as cloud services.
