1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1. Drive the development of strategies to implement and for assessment the achievement of divisional priorities by provide strategic leadership and promote continuous improvement.
1.2. Achieve competing divisional priorities by mobilizing and managing resources, promoting and encouraging team work through modeling good practice.
1.3. Develop and monitor the implementation of the annual divisional strategic and operational plan and report on achievement of performance targets.
1.4. Hold regular divisional meetings to develop and implement strategies to address problems affecting efficient implementation of divisional activities, and communicating relevant information from the management team.
1.5. Ensure the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures and processes to improve service delivery.
1.6. Lead the review and development of curriculum and assessment programs to suit the changing needs of students and society.
1.7. Responsible for divisional budget by taking responsibility for budget preparation, monitoring and reporting on the expenditure of divisional funds.
1.8. Discipline officers by taking personal responsibility in initiating and charging officers who may have committed a disciplinary offence.
1.9. Mentor, coach and encourage branch heads and staff to achieve excellence in their work area.
1.10. Provide regular constructive feedback on work performance, both formally and informally, to staff based on agreed tasks and performance indicators identified with the staff.
1.11. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2.1. Qualification:
2.1.1. Minimum requirement in Bachelor Degree and or Masters’ Degree or higher qualification in Education, Information Technology or Curriculum Development is highly desirable.
2.1.2. Completion of a post-graduate qualification is preferable.
2.2. nowledge:
2.2.1. Excellent understanding of the machinery of the government.
2.2.2. Extensive knowledge of the TSC Act, PSGO, PSFMA and other relevant legislative provisions.
2.2.3. In-depth understanding of National Education Plan (NEP) (2022-2029) and government directions in respect of education.
2.2.4. Sound knowledge of principles and practices of management and leadership.
2.3. Skills:
2.3.1. Strategic management and leadership skills
2.3.2. Financial Management skills
2.3.3. Research and analytical skills
2.3.4. Interpersonal skills
2.3.5. Communication skills, both oral and written
2.4. Work Experience:
2.4.1. Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a Senior Management role.
