1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1. Assist to initiate project submissions for the Department and in line with the Education Act, NEP 2020-2029 and consistent with Government requirements.
1.2. Maintain an accurate and up to date record of all project submissions and reports.
1.3. Monitor all implemented projects and do proper evaluation to provide progress reports to the senior management and the Donor Aid Funds
1.4. Liaise with the Department of Education and other key Government Departments to draft project submissions as required.
1.5. Establish effective links with relevant action officers in other departments and agencies for important and confidential communications when required.
1.6. Assist to provide technical support and professional assistance to line divisions in new project development.
1.7. Lead a positive effective team by building continuous consultation with stakeholders and encourage cooperation and best work practices.
1.8. Ensure FODE schools are made aware of new project initiatives through regular consultation to achieve clients’ satisfaction.
1.9. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2.1. Qualification:
2.1.1. Degree in Project Management is preferable
2.1.2. Post Degree in Project & Planning is advantageous.
2.2. Knowledge:
2.2.1. Knowledgeable on PNG Education System
2.2.2. Sound knowledge in NEP 2020-2029, Government Policies and Reforms.
2.2.3. Working knowledge on project planning & implementation
2.2.4. Sound knowledge of FODE and Inclusive Education operation
2.2.5. Sound knowledge on projects and asset requirements with specifications
2.2.6. Knowledgeable to prepare submissions for project & asset funds
2.2.7. Understand and interpret all Government Policies and Acts
2.3. Skills:
2.3.1. Ability to lead
2.3.2. Analyze all progress on projects
2.3.3. Plan innovative project ideas
2.3.4. Good interpersonal skills
2.3.5. Good team player
2.3.6. High level of communication both oral and written

2.4. Work Experience:
2.4.1. Minimum of 5 years work experience in managing projects at any corporate or private organization or has experience on project consultations or similar roles
2.4.2. Work experience in education school project administration.
2.4.3. Has field experience in education policy, planning & project development at National, Provincial and District level.
2.4.4. Previous experience in any similar work environment.
