Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1 Development, merging and maintenance of up-date base forms of data for the Teacher Registrations on Provisional Registrations and De-registrations for all levels of teaching institutions in the country.
1.2 Analysis of various forms of data and update from time to time for easy retrieval and information.
1.3 In consultation with ICT division, develop and implement an appropriate database system.
1.4 File all the vetted applications for Provisional Registration, Full Registrations, Renewal Registrations and De-registrations for all teachers in all sectors in the four regions.
1.5 Prepare travel arrangement for the Teacher Registration Officers and on progressive registration in the four regions.
1.6 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.

2. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
2.1 Qualification:
2.1.1 Grade 12 level of education
2.1.2 Certificate or Diploma in Statistics or Computing is preferable
2.2 Experience:
2.2.1 Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as data entry operator.
2.2.2 Proven experience in similar or allied work.
2.3 Knowledge:
2.3.1 Conversant with teacher registration and de-registration procedures.
2.3.2 Use of computers
2.3.3 Perform basic data analysis
2.3.4 Thorough knowledge of TSC and DOE Acts
2.4 Skills:
2.4.1 Budget preparation, monitoring and review skills.
2.4.2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2.4.3 Computer literate in MS word and Excel
2.4.4 Excellent inter-personal skills
2.4.5 Must have a good numeracy skill
