Designation : REGISTRATION OFFICER - NON SYSTEM SCHOOL (Code- EDU25-01127)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.1 Provide assistance in managing the day to day administration and assist with the efficient formulation of the policies of the Member Non systems Schools and Permitted Schools.

1.2 Assist in implementing NEP and UBE policy(s) to achieve Education for all Goals (EFO). 

1.3 Assist in liaising constantly with Provincial Authorities, Permitted non system Schools, and other appropriate Government and interested Agencies on matters on school establishment.

1.4 Maintain and update accurate and timely relevant raw or baseline data on all registered non systems schools both system and Permitted Schools data.

1.5 Ensure school registration applications are processed promptly for Non system school registration committee and IMG for deliberation. 

1.6 Assist Registrar to prepare and compile monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports, briefs and other related documentation, as may be required for the Department.

1.7 Assist to conduct non system school audit in the Provinces by ensuring the non - systems school establishment is consistent with National Records.

1.8 Assist Registrar in conducting the Master Position Register updates in the Province and also central sorting.

1.9 Carry out other duties as directed, consistent with above.

 

2. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED:

2.1 Qualification:

2.1.1 Degree in Education or other relevant tertiary qualification.

2.2 Experience:

2.2.1 3-5 years proven teaching in Secondary or Primary with experience in administration.

2.3 Knowledge 

2.3.1 Understanding of the factors influencing the management and performance of schools and student.

2.3.2 Knowledge of the Operational of Education operations and the needs of NSoE.  

2.3.3 Sound understanding of Government priorities for NSoE. 

2.3.4 Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of effective supervision and monitoring.

2.3.5 Sound knowledge of report writing and write up of project proposals.

2.3.6 Sound knowledge of past and current Education System and Reform.

2.3.7 Understanding of Education Act and TSC Act. 

2.4 Skills:

2.4.3 Administrative & Planning skills

2.4.4 Interpersonal skills

2.4.5 Computer literate
