Designation : E.O INSPECTOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION (Code- EDU23-00401)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.1. Assist in organizing and designing new innovations to improve and advance standards and quality for Inclusive Education Inspections for the Division.

1.2. Assist in providing proper training for quality inclusive teachers on competency based and qualified to teach inclusive education sector.

1.3. Assist in researching and prepare submissions to SSM and TMT on current models of effective Inclusive teacher supervision and appraisal, to improve or advance quality and standards of inc.lusive education teachers and lecturers in the Inclusive Education Institutions.

1.4. Assist in planning, conducting special / inclusive education curriculum workshops for in-service teachers and regional coordinators to produce qualified and competent teachers to teach in the schools to promote inclusion for all

1.5. Assist in reviewing, developing and implementation of Inclusive Education Inspections policy or Guidelines.

1.6. Preparation for the annual management plan for the responsible inspectorate and report on the progress on completion & non-completion of Inclusive Education recurrent activities and report to Senior Coordinator Curriculum & Inspections Inclusive Education.

1.7. Present quarterly activities per Inspectorate to Senior Coordinator Curriculum & Inspections for presenting to Assistant Secretary Inclusive Education for DoE Budget Review Committee.

1.8. Develop team work with colleague Inclusive Education Inspectors for quality and standard school inspections in the 23 IERCs and CSNI in the school system. 

1.9. Assist Senior Coordinator Curriculum & Inspections Inclusive Education to guide inclusive education inspectors on quality Inclusive Education inspections platforms throughout the system schools through National Teacher Education Board of Studies (CSNI, PNGEI)

1.10. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.

2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 2.1. Qualification:

2.1.1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education is required

2.1.1. Post graduate degree in Education is preferable

2.2. Knowledge:

2.2.1. Knowledgeable with Staff performance appraisal and Inspections procedures

2.2.1. Familiar in Inclusive Education and be competent in designing and conducting research on Inclusive Education

2.2.1. Public Service General Order 14, Public Finance Management act, TSC and DoE Acts.

2.2.1. DOE Staff Inspections and DOE Staff Appraisal procedures.

2.2.1. Inspections and report writing for different teaching levels in IERCs and CSNI. 

2.2.1. Types and reporting of different inspection approaches in IERCs and CSNI in the school system. 

2.2.1. National Rating Conference Stamps and their purposes for all teaching levels in all sectors in the education system. 

2.2.1. All Stamps and for all teaching levels and schools in different sectors.

2.3. Skills:

2.3.1. Leadership in any organization or Institution

2.3.1. Excellent verbal and written communication both oral and written

2.3.1. Computer literate in MS word and Excel or MS Office applications High level of research skills, conduct and present findings (for example, into pressing issues that affect inspections and quality of learning for children with disabilities or specific learning needs 

2.3.1. Excellent inter-personal skills

2.3.1. Develop successful team building within the branch or even sections.

2.3.1. Must be able to lead and develop successful team building within IERCs and CSNI.

2.3.1. Positive and mutual working relationship with other school inspectors of all sectors in the education system.

2.4. Work Experience:

2.4.1. Minimum of 7 - 10 years’ work experiences in Teacher Education, School Inspections, Inclusive Education at senior staff level either as Head of Strand or Senior lecturer of a PTC, CSNI or PNGEI or Principal, Program coordinator of an IERC.

2.4.1. Inclusive Education Inspector in the IERCs and CSNI.
