1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Promote and coordinate all regional VET activities throughout the country
1.2 Report to Assistant Secretary on all coordination of VET operation matters on a regular basis
1.3Assist the Assistant Secretary, VET Provincial Operations to develop the Annual Work Plan and budget requirements for the VET Provincial Operations branch.
1.4 Provide strategic guidance in coordinating all VET operations and workshops in all the regions to improve the standard for quality education.
1.5 Coordinate and Organise all Regional Coordinators meetings and to meet with Public and Private Organizations, NGOs and wider population on Vocation Education & Training.
1.6 Assist to conduct advisory visits to VET schools or Centers for advice and guidance on Vocational and Training matters for the Top Management to make decisions on certain areas.
1.7 Assist the Assistant Secretary, VET Provincial Operations to conduct branch meetings and training regularly
1.8 Promote and participate in Vocational Expo’s and other visibility programs and activities to promote quality VET Education.
1.9 Assist to facilitate and participate in implementing training programs for VET Coordinators in the regions where need arises.
1.10 Evaluate the development and implementation of Vocational Programs and Training Packages to meet the needs of the schools through-out the country.
1.11 Perform other duties as directed, consistent with the above.
1.12 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and Values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and Responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2.1 Qualification:
2.1.1 Bachelor Degree in Education is relevant
2.1.2 Post Graduate or Master’s Degree in Education related field is an advantage
2.2 Knowledge:
2.2.1 Sound knowledge of Teaching Services, Education Acts, Education or experience in School Administration System, policies and procedures.
2.2.2 Budget Preparation and Analysis
2.2.3 Report Writing
2.3 Skills:
2.3.1 Excellent knowledge of education system.
2.3.2 Sound knowledge of Vocational Education & Training Programs.
2.3.3 Sound knowledge in operational system.
2.3.4 Relevant experience in Education Administration and Management.
2.3.5 Conversant with Building rules and regulations.
2.3.6 Wide experience in tendering procedures.
2.3.7 Sound knowledge of Project Contracting and Project Management.
2.3.8 Sound knowledge of inspection and certifying completed projects.
2.4 Work Experience:
2.4.1 Minimum of 5 years in teaching and supervisory experiences in any system schools .
2.4.2 Wide experience in Education Administration and Management.
