Designation : E.O REGIONAL COORDINATOR - HIGHLANDS (Code- EDU23-00437)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.1 Liaise with other Provincial Vocational Coordinators and Inspectors within the region to implement, monitor and evaluate Policy reforms in Vocational Schools.

1.2 Provide technical advice and guidance to VET Provincial Committees on school project proposals.

1.3 Liaise with Vocational Support Services for coordination and implementation of VET Curriculum to enhance quality teaching and learning.

1.4 Collaborate with other Regional Coordinators ensuring Provincial VET Committees are active and efficient.

1.5 Coordinate with Provincial Vocational Coordinators and Schools on all course program awareness at the Regional Level 

1.6 Gather all available statistics in the region and report on students’ retention rate and other relevant data annually.

1.7  Develop and review the Vocational Education handbooks, course information materials in consultation of the regional schools or school committees.

1.8 Participate on Expo’s, In-service training and VET shows to promote career in Vocational Education.

1.9 Monitor and evaluate the effective use of VET school assets to provide updated evaluation report.

1.10 Perform other duties as directed, consistent with the above.

2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

2.1 Qualification:

2.1.1 Relevant Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Teaching / Education, Administrative Studies and Management Studies.

2.1.2 Diploma or degree with vast work experience in the Vocational Education and Training

2.2 Knowledge:

2.2.1 Broad knowledge of education system both the TSC Act, Education Act

2.2.2 Sound Knowledge of Vocational Education & the operation system

2.2.3 Sound knowledge of Vocational High School operation system.

2.2.4 Relevant experience in Education Administration and Management.

2.3 Skills:

2.3.1 Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

2.3.2 Computer literate and use of database software programs.

2.3.3 Ability to work and communicate with people and teams at different levels of the community, organization.

2.3.4 Public Relations/customer service skills.

2.3.5 Proven ability to work with minimum supervision and achieve results under extreme pressure

2.3.6 Some management, organizational and planning, financial and budgeting skills.

2.4 Work Experience:

2.4.1 Extensive experience in Vocational Education, Organizing trainings, Designing programs and Management.

2.4.2 Minimum of 5 years in teaching field

2.4.3 Wider experience in Education Administration and Management.
