Designation : SENIOR STAFF WELFARE OFFICER (Code- EDU25-01601)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.1. Plan and facilitate  retirement and resignation programs

1.2. Facilitate repatriate for DoE Public Servants.

1.3. Liaise with Nambawan Superannuation Fund for  Dependent update

1.4. Liaise with DPM and Finance to secure funding for retirees

1.5. Contribute to review of staff welfare policies.

1.6. Provide technical support and technical assistance regarding staff welfare policies.

1.7. Maintain and Establish update filing and record system for all Exit and staff welfare issues.

1.8. Assist to coordinate the retrenchment activities by liaising with DPM. 

1.9. Ensure the implementation of relevant and practical staff welfare initiatives by winning support from the executive and liaising with the Building Management.

1.10. Plan and organize team building activities for DoE officers

1.11. Liaise with non-government and Government agencies for Awareness programs 

1.12. Maintain and consult Establishment team 

1.13. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and Responsibility in programs, Activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.

2. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, WORK EXPERIENCES

2.1. Qualifications

2.1.1. Relevant Degree qualification in Human Resource Management, Education or Arts, Administration.

2.2. Knowledge

2.2.1. Sound knowledge of the Staff Welfare procedures in GO and the policy.

2.2.2. Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.

2.2.3. Sound knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

2.2.4. Knowledge of processes of developing procedures and policies.

2.3. Skills

2.3.1. Manage tasks using planning and organization skills to meet deadlines.

2.3.2. Ability to analyze issues and provide accurate advice.

2.3.3. Ability to interact with officers at different levels of the organization.

2.3.4. Interviewing Skills

2.3.5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

2.3.6. High level interpersonal skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

2.3.7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

2.3.8. Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.                                                                                                                                                                                                           

2.4. Work Experience

2.4.1. 4-8 years supervisory experience in similar role or in human resource area.
