1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1 Achieve the best possible efficiency from the DoE assets by ensuring maximum use of the resources by proper care and maintenance during the life cycle of the asset and proper disposal in the interests of DoE.
1.2 Improve inventory accuracy by developing new methods of assets management.
1.3 Maintain continuous standard of service delivery by implementing a control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence.
1.4 Provide excellent customer service regarding all issues of inventory.
1.5 Provide the data and statistics for management to assist in the budgetary and procurement planning process.
1.6 Facilitate training for subordinates in using QuickBooks asset management register.
1.7 Schedule, organize and manage physical inventory counts; investigate and report any discrepancies to the Manager, Divisional Administration and/or Chief Internal Auditor.
1.8 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and Values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and Responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
2.1.1 Grade 12 level of education
2.1.2 Diploma in Office Management or related field is desirable
2.2.1 At least 3 years of experience in asset management
2.3.1 Knowledge of a computerized asset management/ inventory system is highly desirable
2.3.2 Knowledge of how to conduct inventory work
2.3.3 Knowledge of DoE asset management procedures
2.3.4 Knowledge on how to conduct board of survey on machines and equipment
