1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Assist to coordinate and monitor the implementation of School Self Reliance Programs in schools nationwide.
1.2 Assist and provide advice to Senior School Self Reliance Coordinator and AS – WASH & SSR during major stake holders meetings, conferences and forums.
1.3 Assist to provide awareness on SSR programs to Province and Districts in the four Regions.
1.4 Assist the Senior SSR Coordinator and report to the management on the SSR implementation in the Districts and Provinces.
1.5 Assist to provide technical advice and assistance to provinces and districts on regular basis to ensure they are up to date on all aspects of data collection, analysis and management of School Self Reliance Programs.
1.6 Assist to preform project task as required including identification and implementation of programme activities, evaluations and report to authorities on SSR matters.
1.7 Assist to maintain standards of School Self Reliance matters in schools to ensure school administrators implement these programs to self-sustain themselves.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2.1 Qualifications
2.1.1 Degree in Education and Social Science is required.
2.1.2 University degree preferably in Business Administration, Social Studies, Environmental Studies or other related field would be a considered advantage.
2.2 Work Experience
Broad work experiences in education including classroom teaching experiences both in rural and urban schools. Two to five years of general field work or any other relevant work experience, which should include a good knowledge of humanitarian or any other relevant field. Excellent computer operating skills (word, excel, presentation, Access, etc.) .Advanced Computer literacy especially in (Excel and Word).
2.3 Knowledge
2.3.1 Proficient knowledge of monitoring and evaluation approaches and methodologies
2.3.2 Have sufficient knowledge of PNG Education System, education policies, education reform and government reform programs
2.3.3 The incumbent should possess sound knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research and M&E designs methods
2.4 Skills
2.4.1 Skills in expressing ideas both in verbal and written forms
2.4.2 Organize time and resources efficiently and effectively with a range of people
2.4.3 Ability to work with minimum supervision
2.4.4 Must have strong interpersonal communication skills (listening, empathy and respecting officers views)
2.4.5 Proficient in computing and data analytic skills
2.4.6 Able to liaise with other divisions and organizations
2.4.7 Extensive experience in working in teams
2.4.8 Proven ability to use quantitative and qualitative assessment tools and in compilation and analysis of data from different sources
2.4.9 Familiarities with DoE Performance Assessment Framework
2.4.10 Very good oral and written proficiency in English is a requirement
