Designation : STAFF WELFARE OFFICER (Code- EDU23-00654)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.1. Assist in planning and executing Exit activities (decease, retirement, resignation, retrenchment).

1.2. Assist in facilitating repatriation for Department of Education (DoE) Public Servants.

1.3. Assist in liaising with Nambawan Superannuation Fund and the Department of Personnel Management (DPM).

1.4. Provide assistance in reviewing staff welfare policies.

1.5. Provide technical support and assistance regarding staff welfare policies.

1.6. Assist in maintaining an up-to-date filing and record system for all Exit and staff welfare issues.

1.7. Assist in coordinating retrenchment activities by liaising with DPM.

1.8. Ensure the implementation of relevant and practical staff welfare initiatives by gaining support from the executive and liaising with Building Management.

1.9. Provide advice and report to the senior staff welfare officer on staff welfare matters.

1.10. Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom, and Responsibility in programs, activities, and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.

2. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, WORK EXPERIENCES

2.1. Qualifications

2.1.1. Relevant Diploma or Degree qualification in Human Resource Management, Education, or Arts Administration.

2.2. Knowledge

2.2.1. Sound knowledge of Staff Welfare procedures in government organizations and the relevant policies.

2.2.2. Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.

2.2.3. Sound knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

2.2.4. Knowledge of processes for developing procedures and policies.

2.3. Skills

2.3.1. Effective task management using planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.

2.3.2. Ability to analyze issues and provide accurate advice.

2.3.3. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with officers at different levels of the organization.

2.3.4. Interviewing Skills.

2.3.5. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

2.3.6. High-level interpersonal skills.

2.3.7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

2.3.8. Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

2.4. Work Experience

2.4.1. 2-4 years of experience in a similar role or in the human resources field.
