1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Ensure the fortnightly printouts are balanced and delivered on time to relevant offices in
the head office and provincial offices.
1.2 Deliver payroll stationery to NCC to run education payroll, collect, sort fortnightly payroll
reports and pay slips/cheques and dispatch to officers in the head office and teachers the provinces.
1.3 Pay fortnightly deduction/benefit cheques promptly to companies by raising the schedule
of payroll deductions and printing the cheques after being accurately verified by the Supervisor.
1.4 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion principles and values of honesty,
accountability, respect, wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
2.1 Qualifications
2.1.1 Minimum of Grade twelve (12) Education with Diploma in Human Resource or possession of
other Diploma qualification acceptable to the Department. Further qualification in computerized payroll audit is preferable.
2.2 Knowledge
2.2.1 Have knowledge in the function of the Alesco HRM system.
2.2.2 Broad knowledge of teachers’ Salary Determinations or terms and conditions of employment.
2.2.3 Knowledge of the relevant sections of the PSGO relating to salaries and entitlements and
Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
2.2.4 Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of effective payroll audit and quality assurance.

2.4.1 Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in conducting computerized quality assurance and payroll
