Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.1. Ensure the office is clean at all times by providing cleaning services in emptying trash bins, cleaning office floor, office equipment/furniture, cleaning of cups, and making of tea/coffee for officers.

1.2. Support the office of the Administration Operations, to provide efficient service by carrying out the client service responsibilities.

1.3. Assist to ensure mails and correspondences are received promptly by collecting mails/correspondence and distribute to officers, and personally deliver correspondence to offices as requested by the officers of the unit.

1.4. Contribute to the efficient operation of the HRM office by assisting in photo typing, faxing, filing and completion of requisition forms.

1.5. Ensure cleaning equipment/tools are readily available for use each day by properly keeping them in a secure place.

1.6. Ensure the cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals are safe to use by providing sound advice on the condition/status of the equipment and chemicals.

1.7. Ensure to use own initiative by providing relief assistance to work area when required.

1.8. Assist HRM officers with other duties as required.

2. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, WORK EXPERIENCES

2.1. Qualifications

2.1.1. Minimum qualification of Grade ten (10) Certificate with additional training skills.

2.2. Knowledge

2.2.1. Knowledge of office procedures

2.2.2. Knowledge of safety rules

2.2.3. Knowledge of hygiene

2.2.4. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals usage.

2.3. Skills

2.3.1. Good cleaning skills

2.3.2. Ability to fix cleaning equipment/tools.

2.3.3. Clerical skills; Ability to provide courteous client service.

2.3.4. Sound oral communication skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

2.4. Work Experience

2.4.1. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in office cleaning and client service. 

2.4.2. Must have some experience in general duties i.e. mailing, filing, photocopying, scanning and other duties.
