Job Description / Responsibilities:


1.1 Assist to provide reports and records to the First Assistant Secretary and Assistant Secretaries on the overall office administration and monies allocated, spent and available.

1.2 Ensure that all office stationery and equipment are functional at all times by maintaining and updating the records.

1.3 Collect reliable quotations and assist to raise claims for goods and services as directed by the Senior Administration Officer. 

1.4 Assist to organize all duty travels and out of office activities for the Division’s staff as directed by the Senior Administration Officer. 

1.5 Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Senior Administration Officer.

1.6 Incorporate Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Principles and values of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom and responsibility in programs, activities and initiatives to foster positive work ethics.



2.1 Qualifications

The minimum entry requirement for this position is a Diploma or higher;

2.1.1 Diploma in Education Management/ Administration, Finance or relevant.

2.2 Knowledge

2.2.1 Education Act, Public Finance Management Act, Finance Manual and other relevant legislations

2.2.2 Public Service General Orders.

2.2.3 Sound knowledge of the Education System, policies and procedures.

2.3 Skills

2.3.1 Communication and public relation skills.

2.3.2 Basic skills in Programme budgeting and financial planning.

2.3.3 Reporting skills.

2.3.4 Computer literate in Microsoft word and excel.

2.4 Work Experience

Must have;

2.4.1 Three (3) to Five (5) years of working experience in the Public Service. 

2.4.2 Past experience in similar administrations/operations role will be advantage.
