1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.1. Planning, designing, testing and implementing of databases, software and web based applications.
1.2. Maintenance of the Department’s databases and applications
1.3. Assist the database and application users on web related applications and issues.
1.4. Document procedures and processes of database development, administration, management and security.
1.5. Conduct test and/or experiment the technologies before recommending for implementation.
1.6. Assist database end users with installation and access relevant application both web and on premises as and when required.
1.7. Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet the requirements more efficiently and/or with greater reusability.
1.8. Recommend together with Assistant Secretaries – web and systems, training programs for staff in the division and branch or unit
1.9. Carry out other duties, consistent with the above.

2. QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
2.1. Qualification:
2.1.1. Bachelor Degree in Information Communication & Technology, Computer Engineering or any IT related field or demonstrated skills in the relevant area.
2.1.2. Industry certifications in Interactive Database Design, Oracle DB, Linux, Mango DB and MSQL, Java and other relevant software industry certification.
2.2. Knowledge:
2.2.1. Ability to research solutions and document procedures.
2.2.2. Have up to date knowledge on Information and Communication Technology standards and practices (Databases, application development, web services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, MSQL, Linux, Java) relevant for this position.
2.2.3. Database design, programming, content management, business process automation and site maintenance.
2.2.4. Ability to support databases, applications and systems both on prem and in the cloud and other relevant services in a large organization.
2.3. Skills:
2.3.1. Must have good written and communication skills, and have the ability to plan, organize and work with minimum supervision.
2.3.2. Design, build, implement and maintain new databases and applications or upgrade existing databases and systems in line with specifications using a combination of programming techniques and database/application design software using best practice and current technologies.
2.3.3. Construction of web applications hosted on premises or in the cloud that are accessible to employees.
2.3.4. Automate business processes using best industry practices with up to date platforms for smart organization.
2.3.5. Ensuring data and all relevant information for a large organization is safe from threat, loss or database network penetration.
2.4. Experience:
2.4.1. Minimum of 4 - 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar environment.
2.4.2. Design, development and implementation of databases and applications
2.4.3. Experience in the Development, management and administration of web application and mobile application, business process automation and AI will be an advantage.
