1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Ensure the office is clean at all times by providing cleaning services in empting trash bins, cleaning office floor, office equipment/furniture, cleaning of cups, and making of tea/coffee for officers.
1.2 Contribute to ensure mails and correspondences are received promptly by collecting mails/correspondence and distribute to officers, and personally deliver correspondence to offices as requested by the officers of the unit.
1.3 Contribute to the efficient operation of the office by assisting in photocopying, faxing, filing and completion of requisition forms.
1.4 Ensure cleaning equipment/tools are readily available for use each day by properly keeping them in a secure place.
1.5 Ensure the cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals are safe to use by providing sound advice on the condition/status of the equipment’s and chemicals.
1.6 Ensure to use own initiative by providing relief assistance to work area when required.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, WORK EXPERIENCES
2.1.1 Minimum Grade ten (10) qualification or higher.
2.1.2 Certificate qualification in vocational training is preferable.
2.2.1 Knowledge of office procedures and protocol.
2.2.2 Knowledge of safety rules.
2.2.3 Knowledge of health and hygiene.
2.2.4 Knowledge of cleaning chemicals usage.
2.3.1 Good cleaning skills
2.3.2 Ability to fix cleaning equipment/ tools
2.3.3 Sound oral and written communication skills
2.3.4 Public Relations skills.
2.3.5 Customer service skills and ability to provide courteous client services.
2.4 Work Experience
2.4.1 More than two (2) years’ work experience in office cleaning in a Public Service organization.
2.4.2 Must have some experience in general duties (mailing, filing, photocopying, etc.).
