1. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.1 Provide assistance to effectively check and certify accounts for payments
1.2 Provide assistance to effectively monitor the flow of claims for payments
1.3 Assist in assessing the validity of instructions of raised journal entries and raise as required
1.4 Investigate enquires relating to the processing of claims and report major discrepancies/trends to the Chief Accountant
1.5 Assist and follow up of irregularities revealed in the claims examination process and recommending appropriate corrective action.
1.6 Assist and monitor the processing of urgent claims to ensure their prompt payment.
2. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, WORK EXPERIENCES
2.1 Qualifications
2.1.1 Minimum Certificate qualification in Accounting/Business Management/Commerce
2.1.2 Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Business Management/Commerce with information technology skills is desirable.
2.2 Knowledge
2.2.1 Thorough knowledge of Public Finance (Control and Audit) Act and related financial instructions.
